What Is Mesothelioma?

Mesothelioma is not only a very rare cancer, but also the most fatal of all cancers. It affects the membrane lining the lungs, stomach, and heart. Survival time after diagnosis (which usually happens 30 to 40 years after initial asbestos exposure) is a mere 12 to 18 months, or even less in absence of treatment/medication.
